Hedge Apples
The fruit of the Osage Orange tree, the hedge apple provides one of the most indicative signs of fall as their chartreuse fruits displayed in mass quantity across the Ozark countryside. About the size of a grapefruit, the hedge apple is a well-known home remedy for insect repellent.
